Once upon a time there was an iPad hater named Tim. He hated the idea that Apple wanted to turn children and adults into zombie consumers, so much so that he made all those around him uncomfortable with his harsh tone of rhetoric and evil face to boot. And then one day he read a blog article – the inevitable was now clear. If I am going to survive in this industry of the future, I have no choice but adapt in order to survive. This is obvious, I am sure. But to a tech guy, to settle into a cozy wild west atmosphere where there was no order and suddenly be awakened to the future which is now here, like it or not, it is a rather scary situation to be in. How many languages must I learn before I can just sit back and collect my pension check? Oh wait, I probably won’t see a pension check. What about medal of honor? Valor? Soon, I will have a wife to take care of, of which I hope to help her reach her dreams and aspirations. In order to do that I can not go stale or lazy. I must continue moving forward, even if it means my fiance was right all along and that I SHOULD have purchased an iPad. I don’t think she knew what an iPad was, but I do have the impression that she knew what it symbolized.
