Last days of the pope?

Monday, April 5th, 2010

If the pope were a state official, he would be fired and prosecuted for criminal charges, but the pope is not. However, the pope could be treated as “Head of State” and be prosecuted for international crimes. Click here to read more. No man is above the law. This is a principal which forced the puritans to establish the United States of America nearly two hundred something years ago. If you are still in doubt, ask yourself a question. If Saddam Hussein were being charged for these exact same crimes, what would we do then? Did we not go to war for far less?

If the pope were to be prosecuted, which I think he should if he were man enough that is, then what does this all mean for all you Nostradamus enthusiasts? Would this not be the last pope? I’m starting to think I should have been paying attention to all of those Nostradamus specials on History channel.

Vatican says there wasn’t “much behind the images” after having seen Avatar.

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

Of which I have to give a royal “fuck you” to his holiness! I had always thought there wasn’t “much” behind the imagery of a white baby Jesus or a white mother Mary. Nor have I believed there was much to the grandeur of catholic cathedrals, weird clothes priests like to wear, or those odd rituals they like to perform. If an alien species were to be watching a movie involving the Vatican, they just might be saying the same thing.

Not much behind the images. No shit sherlock! There’s probably not “much behind the images,” because there is not much behind the brain. You have to FEEL the pain of the protagonist. You can’t just “see” it. It’s like teaching a dog how to do tricks. No Fido…You must feel the artists vision. You can’t just “look” at it. That is abstraction between self and artist. You must not do that. Oh well, I digress. I’m sorry James Cameron gave the Vatican blue people in the film. If that is what the church is mad about, make them red or pink. Let them find some satanic imagery in the color. Perhaps that would make the Pope happy. Evil is behind everyone, right? But blue people? Yea, that’s a little too hard to catch.

I go to the Rotten Tomatoes and other movie rating sites to check out what reviewers think, but never had I really gone to the Pope for a movie review. Now I think anything he disapproves might actually be thought provoking content that I have to see. So thank you Pope for the film review. I think I just may see it two more times because of it!
