We laughed, we smiled, and we cried. Today, former senator Ted Stevens died in a airplane crash. As a tribute to his steller career as a brainless individual who only knew how to take key points lobbyists would give him and turn them into convoluted speeches, below is a link to his most famous speech. Rest in peace, slime ball.

RIP Ted Stevens.

Friday, June 18th, 2010My fiancé was involved in an incident with a drunk driver who was trying to run her off the road. In the process of seeing what our options were, I found this little video. Enjoy.
Is BP Only the Beginning?
Saturday, May 29th, 2010
Drill baby drill…That was the Republican creed in 2008. Now look what drilling has done. The world had said there will never be another Exxon Valdez disaster and that we would learn from our mistake. And now we find ourselves in the midst of another oil disaster which surpasses the Valdez spill and jeopardizes our own freakin food supply…jeesh.
I blame Obama and crew for compromising with the far right when it came to deep sea oil drilling. The costs to repair what BP has done far exceeds that of health care reform – in my mind, at least. I don’t even think money can fix the BP oil disaster. So hats off to our elected reps. I’ve never been much of a tea party fan, but the BP disaster sure makes me want to dump something a little less toxic into the ocean in protest. Anyone else for a soy bean dumping party?
2010 will be known as the age of uncompromise, economic disaster, and out right stupidity. Thanks in large part to a Republican right that will not listen to reason and a democratic left who just doesn’t care. Ever hear of that phrase “could have been worse?”. Well in America it can be…far more worse.
Baskin and Robbins Ice Cream and Cake Song
Tuesday, May 4th, 2010Sarah was busting a move while singing the Baskin Robins Ice Cream and Cake song after dinner. I wouldn’t be doing the song justice had I not posted it, so here you go.
I wouldn’t be an American if I didn’t post this video.
Tuesday, April 6th, 2010There is no side to this story. A helicopter pilot shouts out that the man walking has a weapon. Why type of weapon another person asked. And then out of nowhere, the helicopter pilot makes something up. Why would he do that? He was wrong. This is an atrocity no matter what side you are on and the killers should be tried in a criminal court. If they are not tried, there will be blow back. Twenty years from now, don’t be all up in arms because one of these kids brothers decides to take an eye for eye. Where was the “friend or foe” message in the video? Are we just shooting down anyone who appear to be armed with weapons? How many more cases are there like this?
Last days of the pope?
Monday, April 5th, 2010If the pope were a state official, he would be fired and prosecuted for criminal charges, but the pope is not. However, the pope could be treated as “Head of State” and be prosecuted for international crimes. Click here to read more. No man is above the law. This is a principal which forced the puritans to establish the United States of America nearly two hundred something years ago. If you are still in doubt, ask yourself a question. If Saddam Hussein were being charged for these exact same crimes, what would we do then? Did we not go to war for far less?
If the pope were to be prosecuted, which I think he should if he were man enough that is, then what does this all mean for all you Nostradamus enthusiasts? Would this not be the last pope? I’m starting to think I should have been paying attention to all of those Nostradamus specials on History channel.

The “Do-Nothing” Minority
Sunday, January 31st, 2010Today’s actions or behavior of the Republican minority reminds me of a familiar theme from United States political history. In 1948, President Truman had to face a similar environment, but with a Republican controlled congress. Known as the “do-nothing” congress, the Republicans themselves called upon social security expansion and the promotion of health and education by the federal government. The Republican majority, however, was divided, creating a climate whose forecast involved President Truman’s failure to seek a second term in office.
We all know how that fairy tail ended.
The Republicans are predicting a great victory in November. Are they not students of history? If there is one thing the American party hates most, its the perception of being lazy (even though I think we are a very lazy people). We like to drive our big gas hungry trucks, drive 80 MpH down the freeway, and bestow upon the rich the powers to eliminate tens if not thousands of jobs. A storm of chaos is brewing when countries such as France or Spain is perceived as being “more” progressive than the United States. President Obama stated in his state of the union that he doesn’t accept second place. Well neither do the citizens of the United States and nor should the Republicans. When Ford’s theme of like a rock evolves to that of drive one, there’s a problem. Rocks can’t float in a sea of change.
So where do we go from here?
The Democrats need to follow George Bush Jr’s strategy to “stay the course.” In a sense, the Democratic majority have absolutely nothing to lose. If “change” brings about a Republican strategy of forcing a stale-mate, doing nothing as their Republican counterparts would most certainly force the Republicans to go on the “offensive.” And the Democrats don’t want to be perceived as the problem, they want to be seen as the solution. After all, the democrats do have a mandate brought about by the American people. Creating an environment where Obama will be forced to use his veto powers is not wise. There isn’t much unifying the Republican party other than religion and greed. If it involves giving women the rights to do anything, or take away the banks right to steal from anybody, you can forget about it. Let the Republicans speak! After a while ( Sarah Palin ), people will see and hear how idiotic and extremist they really are.
If I were Republican, I would have taken this “do-nothing” stance in the summer as opposed to spring. But as of now, I believe President Obama is doing the right thing. Up the rhetoric and expose the Republicans for who they are and what they are doing. It’s free air time for Obama and will only drain the banks of the Republican party coming into the November elections.
iPad Sucks Donkey Shlong and here’s why.
Wednesday, January 27th, 2010Steve Jobs might think that he can impress all the Apple fanboys with his slick looking clipboard sized device, but I am not amused at all. As a matter of fact, Steve might have swayed me back over to a PC tablet more so than an iPad. Why? Trust me, I shall tell you why.
1.) Price. Remind me again what I am buying, because after Job’s keynote, my mind is in a tailspin. Ah yes. I am buying a clipboard shape device with a “1GHz Apple A4 custom-designed, high-performance, low-power system-on-a-chip.” When I went shopping for my great Macbook Pro, I actually went around and priced individual components to see what exactly I was getting for my money. I followed the same procedure with the iPad and found a 1ghz(actually a bit higher) clipboard shaped Dell on Amazon for $99.95!!!
2.) Battery Life. Steve Jobs might have impressed a few individuals with the iPad’s high battery life, but when the device doesn’t have to play CDS, DVDs, or need I say OFFER MULTITASKING CAPABILITIES, then one doesn’t really have to worry about draining the battery now does he. Stop me now, because I’m just getting warmed up!
3.) Name. I shall not elaborate on this.
4.) Where is iPhone OS4 ? What happened, Steve? Apple makes how many billion a year, enough to solve the crisis in Haiti, and you can’t manage to show off the latest and greatest iPhone OS update? I don’t even know what it does, but I at least want to know your new iPad runs an OS that is nearly two years old (in development years). Without the latest OS installed on the iPad that tells me one of two things.
- A.) iPad has been in development for a long long time and Steve Jobs has been holding out on the device until he believed he could make a profit. Need we not forget that the F-117 Fighter plane was a biproduct of WW2? The iPad, I believe, was a biproduct of 2001! Due to the fact that the device was introduced between major product cycles ( Snow Leopard, Macbook Pro refresh, and iPhone refresh ), now was probably the best and only time to unveil the iPad.
- B.) Something happened during the development of the iPad product cycle to make Apple go “oh shit,” that just aint gonna work! And in a desperate attempt to show their stockholders something, Apple unveiled the very same POS they showed us!
4.) No Intel Inside? WTF Steve! WTF, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf, wtf !!!!
I could care less about the iPad as much as I wanted to know more about devices that make me a productive American citizen. If Steve Jobs has forgotten I shall enlighten him once more. The economy sucks, Steve. We NEED jobs. California is going to drop into the ocean at some point in time. We all know this. Stop giving richy rich a device only he can use while he collects all of the money from the hard working poor and instead make us a game changer that changes the crappy environment we, the American people, are stuck in!
Your devices are also used as tools so people can make money so they can afford weddings(such as myself). Better tools means better opportunitieswhich means I can, you guess it, make more money! Dear Steve, if there is one thing you can do for me this year it would be to produce a macbook pro with a dual core i5 or i7 chipset that can carry more than 4 gigs of ram. That is all I ask. Please, Steve. Can you do this for me?
I Heart Apple
Wednesday, January 27th, 2010Things to look for:
1.) How many jobs will Apple create with it’s device?
Steve Jobs revolutionized the app store business, making it possible for developers to reach customers directly. Expect Apple to do the same with multimedia. The multi-colored background in the Apple invite, In my opinion, connects more so with artists rather than the print companies being mentioned.
2.) Who are the key players involved in delivering content?
Obviously it’s all about content, content, content. Will Apple landlock the tablet through Time Warner, Comcast, or Fox to name a few. And what exactly will be the media format of choice? The Adobe Flash player has been proven to be quite reliable when it comes to streaming content. Will Apple surprise us all and provide the Adobe Flash player in their tablet device? Howabout this for a bombshell. Apple offers Microsoft’s Silverlight player, instead. Will Quicktime suffice?
3.) Price point for interactive content…
We should be hearing about these new interactive magazines and the real question will be pertaining to the target price point of the subscription service. With more ads, will Apple force content providers to stomach a majority of cost? Will Apple have to approve every ad being filtered to the tablet? Are we to see an overhall to the traditional tv model, or something else entirely?
Steve Jobs is brilliant. But brilliant people bring about horrible tragedy. I hope the tablet lives up to the hype.
