Is BP Only the Beginning?

Saturday, May 29th, 2010

Drill baby drill…That was the Republican creed in 2008. Now look what drilling has done. The world had said there will never be another Exxon Valdez disaster and that we would learn from our mistake. And now we find ourselves in the midst of another oil disaster which surpasses the Valdez spill and jeopardizes our own freakin food supply…jeesh.

I blame Obama and crew for compromising with the far right when it came to deep sea oil drilling. The costs to repair what BP has done far exceeds that of health care reform – in my mind, at least. I don’t even think money can fix the BP oil disaster. So hats off to our elected reps. I’ve never been much of a tea party fan, but the BP disaster sure makes me want to dump something a little less toxic into the ocean in protest. Anyone else for a soy bean dumping party?

2010 will be known as the age of uncompromise, economic disaster, and out right stupidity. Thanks in large part to a Republican right that will not listen to reason and a democratic left who just doesn’t care. Ever hear of that phrase “could have been worse?”. Well in America it can be…far more worse.
